As much as we would like to keep you, there is plenty of things to see and do in Frome and the surrounding areas of Bath, Longleat, Stourhead, Glastonbury, and Wells. Frome is a market town renowned for its medieval cobbled streets, historic architecture and hilltop views. Having featured in BBC drama ‘Poldark’ Frome even has its only little claim to fame. On the first Sunday of each month, you will find the market in full swing, with plenty of local wares and fresh produce. The ‘Cheese & Grain’, a community-funded event space, also has various music and entertainment events for all ages.
There are a number of towns and cities within close proximity that are well worth a visit. Each with their own plethora of sights, sounds, and sensations. Bath, Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Salisbury, Swindon and Bridgwater are all a short drive away and offer up plenty of places to visit.
If you’re looking for a day out, then Longleat House and Safari Park is not far away, with animals, mazes, boat rides and countless other activities to keep you busy. Held every year in November, the carnival draws visitors far and wide to behold a captivating display of lights, music and frivolity as the numerous floats pass by; all followed by the infamous Squibbing event – a real spectacle to behold!
Operating between November and January, the Longleat festival of lights is held at Longleat House and has become a firm favourite for visitors and locals alike. A real festive family treat.
